Our Story, Our Purpose
CYD is a charitable organization in Montreal serving Muslim youth and families through Islamic learning, educational programs, and career mentorship.
What We Do
Our work is organized around three charitable purposes. Each program we run maps to one of these pillars.
đź“–
Advancement of Religion
We teach the tradition through Quran instruction, Halaqah circles, and religious programs, and we maintain a facility dedicated to this work.
- Quran classes for ages 5+
- Halaqah circles for youth and adults
- Ramadan programs
- Jumu’ah and community prayer
🎓
Advancement of Education
We run structured educational programs — workshops, courses, and training in leadership, digital skills, and life skills — with defined learning outcomes.
- Digital skills workshops
- Youth leadership training
- Life skills courses
- Academic tutoring and summer learning
🤝
Relief of Poverty
We provide job readiness training, career mentorship, and employment preparation for youth and newcomers who need it.
- Career mentorship
- Job readiness workshops
- Newcomer employment support
Alongside our charitable programs, we also host community gatherings, family events, and celebrations — the fellowship that supports the work of teaching and mentoring Muslim youth.
How We Work
đźŹ
A facility built for learning
Our Pierrefonds facility hosts classes, Halaqah circles, workshops, and mentorship — a dedicated space for the charitable work we do.
👥
Qualified instructors and mentors
Imams, certified coaches, and professional mentors lead our programs, each bringing documented qualifications to their field.
🌱
Growth, not just gathering
Every program is built around what participants will learn, experience, or gain — not just time spent together.
